This is an excellent time for those of us that live outside the contest circle to buddy up with our friends "inside the circle" and submit our logs for favorite contest club.

On another note, I wrote an earlier post here in my blog stating that with the ham population declining and the average age continuing to increase, ARRL should look at extending the width of the contest circle from its current 175 mile requirement to 250 miles. This would allow contest clubs to attract more members, and hopefully increase participation without giving clubs too much latitude to "rig" the contests.
