Although I tend to focus on the major contests, I like to blog about digital contests as well. Digital modes such as PSK31, Hellschreiber, RTTY, MT63, Throb, and MFSK16 can all be used in some contests. These modes are easy to use as all you need is a computer and a sound card and a interface (such as the one http://home.att.net/~n8st/DDI-index.html)
There is a contest coming up for Hell mode.
To quote the sponsers website here:
Our next Sprint is August 16th and we’re calling it the “Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer Sprint.” Why rush? This Sprint will last for ten hours, from 1400Z to 2400Z. But here’s the catch: you can only work two of the 10 hours. Two basic rules: (1) You must start at the top of an hour, and (2) After the hour is up you can work another hour, or wait a few hours and pick it up again for another 60 minutes. Work the first and last hours or any two consecutive hours, it’s summer and the living is easy! Bonus: A QSO in each of the two hours you work gets you 100 bonus points. AS ALWAYS, SPRINT SCORES ARE SUBMITTED HERE, USING OUR AUTOLOG SYSTEM…
You can download the software for this mode for free from here
